The Ministry reports that a session to establish the framework of the working agreement between the two countries is on the agenda for a meeting of the Azerbaijani-Belarusian Intergovernmental Commission on Economic Cooperation scheduled to be held in Minsk in early 2015.

The two countries are exploring the use of low orbit satellites to conduct research and share data.

The Azerbaijani space agency, Azercosmos, plans to launch a low-Earth orbit satellite in 2016.

Azerbaijan launched its own satellite into orbit in February of 2013. The Azerspace 1 telecommunications satellite provides coverage for Eastern Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia and North Africa. A second telecommunications satellite is scheduled for a 2017 launch.

Alizade said according to World Economic Forum, Azerbaijan is one of the most dynamic developing economies in the world over the last ten years and is working to establish a micro-economic stability.
