BusinessCom D-Star service is a low-cost solution for individual and home/SOHO network usage offering up to 4 mbit/s burstable broadband Internet access via satellite. Backened up by proprietary BusinessCom Performance Enhancing Proxy (PEP) platform and LinkStar technology developed by ViaSat, the D-Star service offered by BusinessCom stays among the best low cost VSAT solutions for the consumer market.
The incorporated technology, LinkStar's edge is in its dynamic bandwidth allocation that makes it more efficient and faster than other TDMA systems. Terminals can transmit data to the network hub at speeds up to 1.15 Mbps, with data downloads of up to 60 Mbps, satisfying bandwidth-intensive applications using IP data.

In addition to the standard burstable D-Star offer aimed to Home, SOHO and SME usage, BusinessCom presents D-Star Professional on the new RSCC Express AM-22 and AM-11 satellites - an economical backbone connectivity solution covered by Service Level Agreement for small ISP and ITSP business where 100% CIR link is a pre-requisite.
With earth stations priced at 1700 Euro, approximately 1/8th of the cost of an equally capable SCPC station, and Stream range of services available from 64 kbit/s CIR, D-Star Professional is a worthy alternative to expensive SCPC solutions which enables savings of up to 80%. |

Service price varies for a 128 kbit/s service and goes up to for 4 mbit/s SME broadband link with 1:8 to 1:25 contention ratios available. We work with each customer on an individual basis in order to propose a suitable service package and assure an adequate Quality of Service.
